Sonnedix acquires 23.5 MWp solar PV portfolio in France

Sonnedix, a global solar IPP, is pleased to announce that has acquired a 23.5 megawatt peak (MWp) portfolio of solar energy power plants in Istres and Saint Martin de Crau in South East of France from EDF Energies Nouvelles.

The 23.5 MWp portfolio consist of two solar photovoltaic (PV) projects. The plants have been in operation since October 2012. These projects has been developed and built by EDF Energies Nouvelles, and operation and maintenance services will be managed by one of its subsidiary. Each of them benefits from a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with EDF.

This acquisition brings Sonnedix to 92 MW operational solar power plants globally with another 25MW under construction at this time.

“These plants will provide clean power to an area of France with high irradiation and limited power reserves.
