Sonnedix adds a 16.4MW solar project to its development pipeline in Japan

TOKYO, Japan – Sonnedix Japan, on behalf of the Sonnedix Group of companies (Sonnedix Group), has completed the acquisition of a 16.4MW solar PV project from Trina Solar International System Business Unit (ISBU) in Japan – Trina Solar Japan Energy.

The project is in its development stage and is located in the Tochigi Prefecture of Japan, with construction works starting in early 2022 and reaching commercial operations by Q3 of 2023.

Sonnedix Japan currently manages, on behalf of the Sonnedix Group, a total capacity of over 500MW, including a development pipeline of over 40MW. The company continues to actively look for further opportunities to expand its platform in Japan, and across other OECD markets.
