WARSAW, Poland – Sonnedix, the international Renewable Energy Producer announced February 20 that it has reached commercial operating date (COD) for its first solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in Poland: Sonnedix Ciechanowiec.
Sonnedix began construction of its 2MWp PV plant in September 2022 through EPC contractor Elpro sp. z o.o. from Białystok. The project was acquired as part of a larger platform acquisition through which Sonnedix entered the Polish market, with a development pipeline of close to 1000MW.
Sonnedix Ciechanowiec is in Podlaskie voivodeship and is ground-mounted and equipped with over 4,100 monocrystalline, single-facial solar PV panels. This plant is expected to generate 2320MhW of clean electricity during its first year of operation.
“It has been almost one year since we formed Sonnedix Poland and it is great to see the development progress as we work towards converting our pipeline,” stated Axel Thiemann, CEO of Sonnedix. “We have also had the opportunity to learn and refine our processes to construct and interconnect in the Polish market as we support their expansion of renewable energies.”
Sonnedix Poland currently has a development pipeline of 1GW– with Sonnedix Ciechanowiec being the first project to reach COD, and continues to actively look for opportunities to expand its solar footprint in the market and around OECD countries.
