MILAN, Italy – Sonnedix, the global independent solar power producer (IPP) has acquired a portfolio of 4 ground-mounted solar PV plants from ICS Srl, one of the main developers in Italy.
The 4 MW portfolio, located in Sicilly, is in commercial operations since 2010, under the Italian Conto Energia (feed-in tariff) scheme.

The acquisition takes Sonnedix’s operating capacity in Italy to 249 MW consolidating its position within the top 5 solar IPP in the country, and leading player in its solar PV generation sector. Sonnedix continues expanding its footprint in Italy, through the acquisition, financing and development of solar photovoltaic projects.
On these transactions, Sonnedix was advised by Orrick (Legal), Duff & Phelps (Technical) as well as RSM Studio Palea Lauri Gerla (Financial and Tax).
