The Japanese operator NSS, with funding from the Sonnedix Group, has started commercial operation of its second mega-solar power plant, located two hours west of Tokyo in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture. Hitachi Systems, Ltd. constructed the 2.5MW plant and will perform operation and maintenance activities. Financing under a lease structure was provided by Hitachi Capital Corporation.
Mark Bogner, COO of NSS, said: “We are delighted to have this second investment move to operation stage and start selling power under the Japanese feed in tariff. We have now successfully completed the full cycle of development, financing and finally operation on two plants in this market and look forward to expanding the fleet further”
