October 6th marks Sonnedix’s 10th year as a solar independent power producer, developing, acquiring and operating solar PV plants for the long term, around the world.

Sonnedix was formed in 2009 by a small team of entrepreneurs, passionate about the solar sector, with the mindset that they could ‘harness the power of the sun to build a bright future’ – for the company, its investors and for future generations.

Sonnedix is owned by institutional investors advised by J.P. Morgan Asset Management and has grown over five-fold in the last four years, expanding its global solar platform to 885MW in operation and a pipeline in excess of 850MW under construction or documentation.

Carlos Guinand, Founder and Chairman of Sonnedix, said:

Axel Thiemann, Chief Executive, joined the company in 2011 and has held various senior leadership positions before being appointed Chief Executive in September 2018.
