On May 16, Sonnedix Italian Team participated in the “Generali Milano Marathon Special Edition 2021” offering support to the local charity “Sport Senza Frontiere” (Sports Without Frontiers), an organization our One Team have been collaborating since 2017.
Sport Senza Frontiere is a non-profit organisation that has been working for ten years with the aim of ensuring a world in which sport is accessible to all and is recognized and used as a tool for education, prevention, inclusion and social cohesion.
Due to the current scenario with the COVID-19 pandemic, the marathon had a different format than the usual.
A team of 12 participants from the Milan office made 3 teams to join in the "Run Anywhere" format, running 10km each all using a specific app with GPS to track the timing and distance covered.
The funds obtained will go to the "Joy “project that is a summer camp where lots of children will have the possibility to spend a summer dedicated to well-being, sport and social while counteracting the motor, cognitive and relational gap resulting from the period of forced isolation given by the pandemic.
It was a great experience that reinforce the sense of being One Team and social responsibility as part of our ESG culture.
