Sonnedix appoints Simon Duckett as Chief Digital Officer, in newly created role to spearhead AI adoption

London, UK – Sonnedix is pleased to announce the promotion of Simon Duckett to Chief Digital Officer, a newly created role that will position Sonnedix at the forefront of innovation for the renewables industry.

As the renewables industry rapidly evolves, Sonnedix is progressing its digitalisation journey, adopting technologies that drive efficiencies, optimisation, and innovation across the business. Artificial intelligence (AI) presents a significant opportunity to not only improve the efficiency and reliability of renewable energy production but also drive productivity, realise cost reduction, and support revenue growth across the business.

Simon will oversee Sonnedix’s digitalisation strategy, with a focus on implementing digital and AI tools and platforms to provide the business with enhanced analytics and automation. He brings with him over 25 years of experience in technology, having held several senior leadership positions at global organisations. Simon was previously Global Head of IT and Digital at Sonnedix, managing a team of experts that architect, design, deliver and operate the technology footprint.

Prior to joining Sonnedix, Simon was the Vice President for Digital at Arm, a world-leading semiconductor and software design business, where he was responsible for the applications, products and platforms that enabled business operations globally. Prior roles include senior positions at Tesco, BNP Paribas, Deloitte, and large-scale systems delivery with Accenture.
