SANTIAGO, Chile – Sonnedix, the global solar independent power producer (IPP) has completed the acquisition of a solar PV development project from Distributed Power Partners (DPP) in Chile.

The project, Sonnedix Corso Solar, is a 9MW solar PV plant located near Copiapó, in the Atacama region. This project is the third in the portfolio acquired from DPP, together with projects Angamos and Quebrada de Talca.

The project is in a well-advanced stage of development, with construction works expected to start in the second quarter of 2022. The project is applying to Chile’s special regime for distributed generation projects (“PMGD” regime by its Spanish acronym).
