Sonnedix issues notice to proceed for the construction of 10.5MW Taranto solar plant in Chile

SANTIAGO, Chile – Sonnedix, the global solar independent power producer (IPP) has issued Notice To Proceed (NTP) for Sonnedix Taranto, a 10.5MW solar PV plant from its portfolio in Chile.

Sonnedix Taranto, located in the Valparaíso Region of Chile, at just 80km from the capital Santiago de Chile, will be built by CAF Turnkey & Engineering as EPC contractor, with its completion expected by the beginning of 2022.

This ground-mounted solar PV plants will have a capacity of 10.5MW and it’s expected to generate 21,648MWh of clean electricity during its first year of operation, which is equivalent to avoiding the emission of almost 9,000 tons of CO2 per year.
