PARIS, France and MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo., 4 January 2016 — Sonnedix today announced that it has acquired the AES Solaire France portfolio from SunEdison, Inc. (NYSE: SUNE), the largest global renewable energy development company.
The solar portfolio totals 23.6 megawatts (MW) DC and is made up of two ground mounted solar power plants, as well as two solar parking canopies, located across southern France. Parking canopies provide both shade for parked cars and cost effective, clean solar energy.
“This acquisition is a significant step for Sonnedix and makes us an even more significant solar PV player in France with almost 90 MW connected and operating,” said Sonnedix’s CEO Andreas Mustad.
The acquisition increases Sonnedix’s total installed asset base to over 150 MW.
SunEdison Global Services will continue to provide operation and maintenance services for the portfolio.
