We began operations in the country with Sonnedix Pica Pilot, a 0.6MW proof-of-feasibility PV plant that went live in November 2015.
In early 2021, Sonnedix completed its largest solar PV plant to date: the 170MW Sonnedix Atacama, in the Atacama Desert in Chile, followed by 160MW Sonnedix Meseta de los Andes, completed in 2022. These projects are testament to our strong commitment to push the energy transition forward and help Chile meet its ambitious renewable power targets.
On 19th October 2022, we completed the acquisition of Arco Energy, one of the largest independent renewable power producers in Chile, marking the start of our hybridisation journey.
