We began operations in the country with Sonnedix Pica Pilot, a 0.6MW proof-of-feasibility PV plant that went live in November 2015. Followed by St. Julia (3.63MW) in April 2016 and Chuchiñi (3.25MW) in July 2016.

In early 2021, Sonnedix completed its largest solar PV plant to date: the 170MW Sonnedix Atacama, in the Atacama Desert in Chile, testament to its strong commitment to push the energy transition forward and help Chile meet its ambitious renewable power targets.

In 2022,  we started the construction of 160MW Sonnedix Meseta de los Andes, located near Santiago de Chile, through which we expected to produce  over 385,000MWh during the first year of operation, powering more than 180,000 Chilean homes with clean electricity. On 19th October 2022, we reached a major milestone for the company, with the acquisition of Arco Energy, one of the largest independent renewable power producers in Chile. This marks the start of Sonnedix's journey into hybridisation, as the company continues focusing on delivering renewable solutions to brighten our future!
